• Have you heard Jimmy Fallon will be taking over for Conan when Conan goes to the Tonight Show? I am okay with this. I like that guy.
• Here’s a cool article on that Bear McCreary concert from last week, including an interview with the man himself and host James Callis!
• This is officially my favorite Lost LOLcat EVER. HAHAHAHA.
• Lost vs. Gilligan’s Island, written by someone who has only seen the first 12 episodes of Lost. Totally outdated, but funny enough, though.
• Guillermo Del Toro will definitely be directing the Hobbit movies, and Ian McKellan says he is interested in coming back as Gandalf. And we’d love to have him do so. YOU! SHALL! NOT! PASS!!

• Remember those Lost theories we submitted last week to USA Today? They have been answered! Read each theory, then give it a grade to see what Damon and Carlton say about it. Snark is running high as Damon and Carlton react to fans’ ideas!!

  When presented with the “The island is stuck in 1988 theory”

  Lindelof: “What I love about this theory is that for some reason the island has remained locked in 1988 while the rest of the universe proceeds normally. It makes me wonder what happened in 1988 that this person wants this world to forever be 1988.”

  Cuse: “The person could be a Cyndi Lauper fan.”

  Lindelof: “I think she had already peaked. By ‘88, we’re talking about U2 and INXS. Just the idea that everybody on the island is in 1988 is pretty crazy.”

• Some scans of an article about Michael Trucco and his car accident from TV Guide. I cannot BELIEVE those scars. He’s kind of my hero.

• Here’s a really interesting Final Cylon theory that I think makes a lot of sense…although I still think it’s Gaeta!
• Ricky Gervais has an awesome blog post about his new movie This Side of Truth including photos of him, Tina Fey, and Rob Lowe…and toy guns. The best bit is the candid shot of Christopher Guest “preparing for his role.”
• Speaking of Tina Fey, MSNBC is saying she’s the funniest person out there right now. As much as I love Ms. Fey and all the attention she is getting, I’d love to finally see an article about her that doesn’t include the words “It’s true, women can be funny.” Sigh.
• The Deadbolt’s got 10 Movies they want to see this summer (and 5 that make them nervous). Number one on my list is definitely Pineapple Express, which stars the love of my life, Seth Rogen.

• The AV Club has an interview with Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse! They are so fantastic.
• Jimmy Kimmel also did a Q and A with Damon and Carlton.

  I’ve learned to appear scintillatingly intellectual by asking people questions (“Do you like pizza?”). Then I just look at them, nodding and saying “Hmmm” and “Um hmmm” every few seconds. Try and keep one or two things in your head to regurgitate later. After all, what is knowledge, really, but high-resolution regurgitation?

• A no-frills guide to five just-published first novels from New York Magazine: I’m glad I saw this, I was thinking about picking up that Keith Gessen book…
• ABC News is planning a documentary about J.K.Rowling!
• According to Ron Moore’s blog, he’s recorded a podcast for the most recent episode of Battlestar Galactica, as well as episodes 4 and 5! If you’re a hardcore BSG fan and you’re not listening to these podcasts, I highly recommend doing so. Moore basically sits and watches the episode from start to finish and talks about anything that crosses his mind. It’s chock full of interesting facts and ideas. (One example? They had toyed with the idea of showing all 12 Cylon models on Cylon-occupied Caprica in the episode “Downloaded” in Season 2, but they thought it would be giving too much away!)

• Here’s an interview with Michael Emerson, who [brilliantly] plays Ben on Lost.
  

  “It sounds crazy, but even though I’ve read the script, I still sometimes don’t get what just happened,” says Emerson. “I may have a brain defect of some sort because I will just miss obvious things and have to have them explained to me by relatives and children.”

Lost is back in 3 days!!! Hold onto your butts!

• Pop Candy has one Lost fan’s experience as an extra on the set! My favorite line: “Jack didn’t really smile at all” LOL. Indeed.
• Katee Sackhoff will be a guest at the Wizard World Convention in Philadelphia!!!!! I live 10 minutes from Philly, so this is very VERY tempting. I have the biggest girlcrush on her.
• So far, Forgetting Sarah Marshall has an 85% Fresh Rating on Rotten Tomatoes! I can’t WAIT to see this movie. If it’s any indication from the reviews, Russell Brand will be a hell of a lot more known in the States soon enough.
• Speaking of which, here’s an interview with Russell from MSNBC, in which he seems to be toned down…

• From The Onion: Oprah Launches Own Reality, is now Queen of Time.
• Mitch Hurwitz, (creator of Arrested Development) is developing an animated show that will reunite Will Arnett, Jason Bateman, and Henry Winkler, among others. I think I just blue myself.
• Speaking of Tobias Funke, apparently David Cross is dating Amber Tamblyn!? WHAT!?
• Have you guys seen the new Adult Swim Action Figures? I kind of want a Killface.
• Courtney Love, who was hanging out with Noel Fielding this week says “I am fed up with Los Angeles. It’s dirty and full of crazy people. I want a complete lifestyle change.”

• The Philadelphia Inquirer interviewed Stephen Colbert.
• Empire Magazine’s list of The 50 Greatest TV Shows of All Time, obviously written by a huge sci-fi fan. Lost is #5. Damn straight. Although I have to admit I disagree with many of the “Best Episode” choices. “Pegasus” as the best Battlestar Galactica episode? Frak no.
• Spanish director Pedro Almodovar has started blogging. In three languages, no less.
• Lost pseudo-spoiler from Kristin involving a certain kiss that was mentioned by Damon Lindelof. Not very high on the spoiler scale, but it’s something to think about.
• Galactica Sitrep has posted Some fun interviews with Michael Hogan and James Callis.

• JK Rowling goes to court to block publication of the Harry Potter Lexicon. As much as I love the Lexicon, I’d absolutely love for JKR to write it herself!
• Jason Segel talks about, among other things, the already infamous nude scene in Forgetting Sarah Marshall. Is it Friday yet?
• Have you heard about the new Ricky Gervais movie, This Side of Truth? It’s set in a world in which no one has ever lied – and Ricky’s the first one to have a go. The cast includes Tina Fey, Jonah Hill, Jeffrey Tambor, Christopher Guest, Jason Bateman, Jennifer Garner, Rob Lowe, and Patrick Stewart. This is going to be EPIC.
• Amazon.com is having an awesome sale on DVDs this week.
• Although Best Buy’s TV DVD sale is even better. The Office Season 3 for $20!! 30 Rock Season 1 for $20! Plus Family Guy, How I Met Your Mother, and Scrubs. I hope my tax return shows up this week.
