  • 16 Unanswered TV Questions from the Onion’s A.V. Club
  • Daniel Radcliffe stars in PBS Masterpiece Theater production of My Boy Jack; sports awesomely ridiculous mustache.
  • A no-frills guide to five just-published first novels from New York Magazine: I’m glad I saw this, I was thinking about picking up that Keith Gessen book…
  • ABC News is planning a documentary about J.K.Rowling!
  • According to Ron Moore’s blog, he’s recorded a podcast for the most recent episode of Battlestar Galactica, as well as episodes 4 and 5! If you’re a hardcore BSG fan and you’re not listening to these podcasts, I highly recommend doing so. Moore basically sits and watches the episode from start to finish and talks about anything that crosses his mind. It’s chock full of interesting facts and ideas. (One example? They had toyed with the idea of showing all 12 Cylon models on Cylon-occupied Caprica in the episode “Downloaded” in Season 2, but they thought it would be giving too much away!)

You can find the podcasts in the Apple iTunes Podcast Directory by searching for “Battlestar Galactica” and choosing the official SciFi Channel podcast.

  • Here’s an interview with Michael Emerson, who [brilliantly] plays Ben on Lost.

“It sounds crazy, but even though I’ve read the script, I still sometimes don’t get what just happened,” says Emerson. “I may have a brain defect of some sort because I will just miss obvious things and have to have them explained to me by relatives and children.”

    • Lost is back in 3 days!!! Hold onto your butts!

I’m pretty sure that’s why Benry PWNs the island! XD

I like how you started pulling quotes from interesting interviews. I usually skip cast interviews (because way too often actors reveal themselves to be idiots) but i have to say i was pulled in to go read more. nice touch! way to force me to waste even more time online!

      • rachelack says:

Thanks, rumblegirl! I’m the same way, I don’t want to waste my time reading yet another interview where actors talk about the same things over and over again if I can avoid it. Blurbs are fun.

I think that Ron Moore reference is funny because I swear that they decided on who would be the final four DURING Season Three. I swear it was in an interview somewhere. I swear, for srs. Rly.

      • rachelack says:

It’s true, they did! In another podcast (i believe it was the Frak Party podcast from right after the S3 finale) Ron Moore said that they didn’t know who would be the Final Five until Season 3, and that they had to make sure their stories gelled with the whole idea of Cylons.

The best was they said Tory was a total wild card, they picked her because she was just kind of…there. And you didn’t know that much about her haha.

I JUST FINISHED DEATHLY HALLOWS. OMFG *WEEPS*

I have been avoiding all JK related talk for months until I could get around to reading it now I want it ALL!

      • Kaikias says:

Oh, Michael Emerson. Your character may creep me out, but you I love.

      • natalia says:

Finally, there is some Potter in here!!! Not that I’m complaining about the other content. Ok, I AM! YAY, POTTER.

I have to watch My Boy Jack if ONLY for that ridiculous mustache. Haha. It’s riddikulus! Sorry, I had to do it.

      • pkal says:

Oh, so Ron Moore hasn’t been doing podcasts for season 4? I was worried something was wrong with iTunes.

      • allybubba says:

Michael is so tiny in his munchkin-like state, but I <3 him.

        And ohmgosh.
        Lost in 3.
        *diez*

      • Starshine says:

        I can’t. My hands aren’t big enough.

Anyhoo, I never watched most of those shows with unanswered questions. Just TP and Mork and Mindy, but I didn’t even remember that Mork was left hangin’. I so wish there was a third season of TP with bad Dale running around.
