Jeff Jensen’s Lost recap is always spot on, but this week’s is especially interesting.
I love what he said about Claire, I think it’s a real possibility. And the fact that Jack was reading a passage of Alice in Wonderland called “The Pool of Tears” just tickles me so very much.
I didn’t hate this episode as much as many people seem to have – I thought it had interesting character development and it at least moved the plot along, unlike the travesty that was “Stranger in a Strange Land.” Nothing will ever top Bai Ling. Nothing.
And FYI: Damon and Carlton will be on Jimmy Kimmel tonight!!
LMAO!
Bai Ling. The epitome of EPIC FAIL.
Pool of JEARS more like! lol
I agree that while not stellar this ep is definitely better than the STD of Stranger in a Strange Land. I bet there are still people that burn when they pee from watching that one! >_<
Yeah, definitely not as bad as the Bai Ling ep. That was just ridic.
[…] could also blink out; he could appear to Miles, while not appearing to others around Jack. UPDATE: The Ack Attack links to a fairly interesting recap by Jeff Jensen, postulating that maybe Claire is hanging around with ol’ Christian Shepherd because she is […]
Jeff Jensen rocks. read him every week too.
love the Ack Attack tho. enjoy her recaps as much as the show.
I don’t know if I buy Claire being a ghost; don’t the island-manifested visions only appear to one person? Only Jack could see Christian at first, and Yemi only appeared to Eko, but Locke, Ben, Sawyer and Miles all saw Claire. But then again, Sawyer saw Kate’s horse, too…I don’t know anymore! Haha.
Also, apparently Claire and Jack can see/have seen some kind of manifestations of Christian.
I hope they will make some sense out of these apparitions – I’d find it rather ridiculous if they’d say, like some people seem to believe now, that Charlie and/or Shephard sr. could be manifestations of the smoke monster. That would make sense to me on the island, but not who knows how many miles away from there…
Do you know about Fishbiscuit? She’s a Skater with some of the best recaps. Here’s the link to her recent one and it’s AMAZING. http://fishbiscuitlandblog.blogspot.com/2008/05/man-who-wasnt-there-as-i-was-going-on.html
The day they put out a worse episode than the Bai Ling one is the day the universe is sucked into the black hole of such suckitude. Thankfully, the writing team that created that…thing…has since been split up.
I guess the only reason I don’t buy the “Claire as ghost” theory is that she woke up and said, “Dad?” If she was a manifestation of the island, it wouldn’t make sense to give her a scene that’s strictly in her POV. That theory sounds too close to the “Giles as the First” set-up we got in Season Seven of Buffy.
